Actors and Others for Animals is very pleased to be working with the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, Rachael Ray Nutrish and the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation to provide free spay and neuter surgeries for cats (no ferals) and dogs for the residents of El Monte and Baldwin Park. In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals that end up in the Baldwin Park Shelter.

Call us at 818-755-6045 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to register for a free surgery.

You will be directed to one of three veterinary hospitals in the area. There is a limit of five (5) pets per household, and you will be required to show a photo ID or a current utility bill to the hospital at the time of surgery. There are no other requirements. Only those living within these zip codes are eligible.

This life-saving program is being supported by the generous donations of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, Rachael Ray Nutrish and the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation and is being administered by Actors and Others for Animals.

Actress Katherine Heigl and her mother Nancy founded the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation in memory of their brother and son, Jason Debus, to improve the plight of pets through a variety of programs. Celebrity Chef and animal lover Rachael Ray donates 100% of her proceeds from the sale of her premium pet food line, Nutrish, to help with the care and protection of animals in need. The Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation is a private nonprofit foundation that supports the County Department of Animal and Control. We thank them all for their dedication and participation.

Actors and Others for Animals is privileged to be part of this cooperative action to end the tragedy of pet overpopulation and homelessness. In the coming months, this program will be expanding to encompass other vicinities.
